At the beginning of most of our charters, we get to see a certified haunted house, made famous by the "Ghostbusters ruling."

The house in this painting may have been inspired by 1 Laveta Place in Nyack, just around the corner from where Hopper grew up.

Owned by Helen Hayes and Rosie O'Donnell, it hosted a long list of famous people, and painted on commission by neighbor Edward Hopper.
